The Gonta series is characterized by its unique combination of traditional and modern design elements. The inspiration for the vases comes from both ancient Carpathian architecture and modern bionic design. The use of old shingle roofs that have their own history adds a sense of nostalgia and a connection to the past.
The vase is created using the hand sculpting method, which means that each piece is one-of-a-kind. Three types of materials - wood, clay, and glaze - are used to create the vase. The wood used is the tapered wooden shingle called Gonta, which is native to the Carpathian region of Ukraine. The designers were inspired by the magnetism of old wooden roofs marked by time and wanted to preserve that era through their art.
In keeping with the natural theme, the Gonta series uses only natural materials - ceramics and wood. This particular vase is not suitable for holding water and is only meant for dry flowers.
