Ariadne’s Thread
Part of the Ariadne’s Thread series, this sculptural vessel is built from an intricate network of loops, openings, and overlapping forms. The structure develops gradually by hand, without a fixed pattern, allowing each element to influence the next.
The title refers to the thread from the myth of Ariadne — a simple way of finding direction through something complex. Here, this idea appears through the continuous movement of the surface, where individual lines connect, disappear, and emerge again.
Each vessel is hand-built and develops its own proportions, rhythm, and irregularities during the making process. No two pieces are identical.
Although sculptural in character, the vessel is fully functional and watertight. It can hold flowers or branches, or simply exist as an object on its own.
