This vase came together quite intuitively. I built it piece by piece, adding one clay form after another and letting the shape develop naturally as I worked. I like that it looks different from every side -a little irregular, almost playful.
I kept the surface raw and earthy because it felt right for this form. It is a one-of-a-kind piece, made more as a sculptural object than a traditional vase. It can be displayed on its own or with dried flowers and branches. It is not watertight.
